Pretty Little Things: Heel Condoms

I find some of my best information and products while perusing FB and today is no different. Look at this cute item I found which would make an AWESOME gift for your bridesmaids. Heel Condoms! Yeah... I had the same reachtion when I saw it. Think of it as a bra with removable straps that you can make strapless, criss cross, one strap or several other ways. EXCEPT it's for your shoe.  Take a look at this youtube video I found on facebook (necolebitchie) and see how it works:

The site Theheelcondoms.com, has many other types of shoe adornments to choose from. Here are some of my faves:

I love the concept that you can make your existing favorite shoe new again by slipping on of these heel condoms. I don't know about you, but I totally see these in my future!

Pretty Little Things: Blooming Beauties

It's spring time in New York, and aside from the weather being completely bipolar it is a great time for some pretty blooms. And because of this bipolar weather ( I'm not complaining) we are starting to see some of our favorite blooms peak earlier than usual. What I am mainly referring to are Cherry Blossoms. Typically we see the heights of these flowery beauties in mid April -May. BUT here we are in March and they are popping up all over the place and completely blanketing homeowners lawns.

Because of the color and fullness they are a favorite of mine for springtime weddings. Here's why

I love that in a centerpiece it gives you a feel of having an outdoor wedding indoors. And let's not stop there, cherry blossoms are great for your stationary, cakes as well as favors. So feel free to spread the spring time love throughout your wedding.

Planning: If The Shoe Fits

Everywhere you go you see pictures of beautiful fabulous brides in their long white wedding gowns and high heel shoes. While I am a fan of stiletto shoes ( at 5'2 i could use the extra lift), I am more a fan of being comfortable and looking and feeling great. So if that means wearing flats or a "comfy" shoes I am all for it. provided it is cute and appropriate for your style of wedding.

Some options to consider are:

Ballet Shoes: Cute, comfy and still fantastic

Kitten Heel: Not quite a flat, not quite a heel but still easy to walk in

Converse: I LOVE this look: If this is YOUR style, if you are THIS bride then do it.
And please, if the mood strikes, wear a color to coordinate with your wedding.

Foot Jewelry: For you beach brides, foot jewelry is a great alternative to heels.
Just don't forget to pack something for the reception...a cute flip flop maybe
(remember I said cute)

Wedges: No they are not technically flat however, for those brides that are not
used to walking in heels, this is a good transition to having a lift with a little less wobble
(sorry had to sneak one in there)

What is your pick?

Planning: Laced and Lovely

Lace continues to be a very popular choice for brides when choosing bridal gowns especially since the wedding of Chelsea Clinton and Kate Middleton. But if you are a lover of lace like I am it doesn't have to stop at the gowns. You can incorporate lace in your table linens, wrapped around votives, as a sash for your bridesmaids and my favorite in the cake decor.

These lace decor cakes are so pretty you will be confused on wether to wear them or eat them.

What makes a lace cake even more fantastic is the design on the cake matches the lace in your gown or decor ( please don't overdue it with lace EVERYTHING) too much lace is NOT a good thing.

SO, how are YOU incorporating lace into your wedding?
